INTRODUCTION
It does not contain toxic substances and is composed of a variety of organic acids and corrosion inhibitors. The activator effectively removes the oxide coating and impurities on the surface of the workpiece, so as to obtain a uniform metallic crystal surface, which is conductive to the surface treatment and the formation of chemical film with good performance in the subsequent chemical reaction. The activation of the die casting magnesium alloy will form a layer of black coating that needs to be cleaned by ultrasonic. After removal, the surface of the workpiece is uniform silver white, indicating that the oxide coating on the surface of the workpiece has been removed.

1. Remove the oxide coating, oil coating and impurities on the surface of the workpiece to form a homogeneous and clean magnesium alloy surface, which is beneficial to the formation of good adhesion in the subsequent process. The oxide coating on the surface can be fully removed.
2. No corrosion to the magnesium alloy substrate.
3. Strengthen the adhesion and corrosion resistance of the magnesium alloy passivation coating.

EQUIPMENT
Tank: PP, PVC or high density PE.
Rack: PP, PVC or 316 stainless steel. Keep the workpieces vertical in the bath, and the distance between two adjacent pieces is 10 mm.
Agitation: properly and homogeneously air agitation in both main and auxiliary baths.
Circulation: 3-4 times every hour.
Addition system: PP, PVC or PE for charge pump, strong alkali resistance.
Filtration: continuous, filtered with 10 micron of filter cotton or filter bag.
Ventilation: required.
Heat system: required.
ANALYSIS AND REPLENISHMENT

1. Pipette 2 ml of activator to an Erlenmeyer flask, then add 50 ml of pure water.
2. Add 2-3 drops of phenolphthalein indicator.
3. Titration with 0.1 mol/l NaOH solution to red from colorless end point.

The milliliter of titration solution consumed is acidity.
Acidity: 5.0-8.0
Adjustment: replenish 15-25 g/l activator at each acidity.
